Community Health Department
Community Health is divided into 3 programs:
HEALTH WORKS OF ILLINOIS:
The Effingham County Health Department is the Lead Agency for a thirteen county area. The Community Health Staff performs the Medical Case Management for approximately 350 foster children in Compliance with the State of Illinois ' Department of Children and Family Services.
HEALTH EDUCATION SERVICES:
THE SMOKE-FREE ILLINOIS PROGRAM:
Community Health Division
The Community Health Division designs and develops new programs and activities for the department. Other grants and services: Healthworks of Illinois, Emergency Response Units, CPR Classes, First Aid Course, Child Passenger Safety Seat checks, Marketing, Tobacco Prevention, Health Fairs and Social Service Refferals
